Our Clients

Veranda Home Care supports individuals who need non-medical assistance due to age-related changes, health conditions, or the desire for extra support at home. We commonly assist clients with:

  • Aging and mobility changes, including balance concerns, fall risk, reduced stamina, and non-medical recovery support following hospitalization or surgery

  • Memory loss and cognitive changes, such as early to moderate dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, mild cognitive impairment, and the need for routine, cueing, and supervision

  • Chronic conditions (non-medical support), including arthritis, Parkinson’s disease, stroke aftercare (non-medical assistance only), vision or hearing impairment, and general frailty or fatigue

  • Lifestyle and daily living support, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), meal preparation, household tasks, transportation, errands, companionship, and maintaining daily routines, independence, and quality of life

Exceptional Care Begins with Exceptional Caregivers

At Veranda Home Care, we believe exceptional care begins with exceptional caregivers.

We are highly selective in who we invite onto our team. Every Veranda caregiver goes through a rigorous screening and interview process that evaluates not only experience, but professionalism, discretion, reliability, and emotional intelligence. We look for people who naturally bring calm, warmth, and respect into a home.

But we don’t stop at hiring well — we care for our caregivers, too.

We believe caregivers can only provide their best when they feel respected, supported, and valued. Veranda caregivers receive thoughtful scheduling, fair compensation, clear communication, and consistent support from our team. We prioritize stable schedules, strong matches, and ongoing guidance so caregivers feel confident and supported in every home they serve.

This approach creates something rare in home care: continuity, trust, and a genuine sense of relationship.

Families choose Veranda not just because we provide care — but because we build a team of people who care deeply, show up consistently, and treat every home with the respect it deserves.

When Veranda Home Care May Not Be the Right Fit

Veranda Home Care is intentionally designed as a non-medical, boutique home care agency, and while we support a wide range of needs, there are situations where a different level of care may be more appropriate. We may not be the right fit for individuals who require:

  • Skilled nursing or medical care, including wound care, injections, IVs, or ongoing clinical monitoring

  • Hospice or end-of-life care, which is best provided by specialized medical teams

  • Overnight, on-call, or 24-hour live-in care, as our services are structured around daytime and early evening support

  • Immediate crisis or emergency response, including situations requiring urgent medical attention

  • Highly complex medical needs that require licensed clinical oversight

Our goal is always to ensure clients receive the right care at the right time, even if that means helping families identify alternative providers better suited to their needs.

What a fun, full day…

Here’s an example of what activities customized to your loved one’s interests and physical abilities may look like. When they join Veranda, the first step is creating their custom Veranda Care Plan that fits with their lifestyle.

  • Caregiver Jane prepares breakfast, helps Donald get dressed and she completes a few chores around the house. They take an easy going walk along the marina, watching birds and enjoying the sunny morning.

  • Jane prepares a healthy lunch for Donald and then drives him to a doctor’s appointment and to get a haircut. When they get home, Donald takes a nap and Jane begins baking some bread for when he wakes up.

  • Jane prepares a nutritious dinner and cleans up the house, then she and Donald play a board game and she helps him take a shower before bed.

Happy parents, happy families

 Veranda FAQs

  • Veranda Home Care was intentionally designed to offer a more thoughtful, consistent, and high-standard care experience than traditional home care agencies.

    Founder involvement from the start.
Every new client relationship begins with a personal, in-home consultation conducted by our founder. This ensures your family’s needs, preferences, and concerns are fully understood from day one—and that the care plan is built with intention, not assumptions.

    Rigorous caregiver selection.
We do not operate on a volume-based hiring model. Caregivers are carefully screened through a multi-step process that evaluates experience, judgment, communication style, and reliability. Only a small percentage of applicants meet our standards and are invited to work with our clients.

    Complimentary in-home safety assessment.
As part of our initial consultation, we provide a comprehensive, complimentary safety and wellness assessment of the home. This allows us to proactively identify potential risks, support independence, and recommend thoughtful adjustments that enhance comfort and safety.

    Caregiver continuity by design.
We prioritize consistency by intentionally matching clients with a primary caregiver or small, dedicated team. This reduces unnecessary caregiver rotation and allows trusting relationships to develop over time—something we believe is essential to high-quality care.

At Veranda, we don’t simply fill shifts. We actively manage care, remain closely involved, and work with families who value professionalism, stability, and discretion in their home.

  • At Veranda Home Care, we provide a full spectrum of non-medical in-home support tailored to each client’s needs. Our core services include assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility support, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, errands, and companionship. Beyond these essentials, we also specialize in luxury enhancements—from wellness and lifestyle support to concierge services like cultural outings, in-home spa treatments, or private chef coordination. Every care plan is customized, ensuring our clients receive both the reliable support they need and the elevated experiences they deserve.

  • Veranda Home Care serves individuals and families who need reliable, non-medical support at home. Our services are designed for people who want help with daily living, companionship, and lifestyle support—but not medical or nursing care.

  • Yes. All our caregivers are fully licensed Home Care Aides, background-checked, and professionally trained to provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.

  • We focus on consistent, relationship-based care rather than brief drop-in visits.
